The Midwest City Chamber of Commerce works to maintain a strong local quality of life through:

  • Hosting annual Picnic with Protectors event to allow the citizens to get to know and recognize our community’s emergency personnel

  • Actively participating in the Tinker Air Force Base Quarterly Awards Program

  • The Navy’s TACAMO “Make A Difference” Award Program

  • Briefings, receptions, and tours designed to create a greater awareness of the role and mission of Tinker Air Force Base

  • Youth Excel and Leadership Midwest City programs (leadership programs for youth and adults)

  • Conducting legislative briefings, public forums, and meetings with local, state and national elected officials

  • Co-hosts an annual Celebrating Education program

  • Sponsorship of community events including the Veterans Day Parade

Midwest City was founded in 1942 as a support community to “Midwest Air Depot,” now known as Tinker Air Force Base and we  continue with that tradition.
