Michael Bianco currently serves as the Deputy Program Manager for the APEX. Prior to this role, Michael led the APEX Process Navigation services aimed at assisting small businesses, entrepreneurs, and academic researchers with navigating the SBIR/STTR program for the Department of the Air Force.
Michael's journey began at Youngstown State University, where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Fueled by a passion for both technical proficiency and leadership, he is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Engineering Management from The Ohio State University, further honing his skills in effectively managing complex engineering projects.
A notable highlight of Michael's career is his significant contribution to defense tech startups. Leveraging his expertise and network, he has been instrumental in securing approximately $6 million in non-dilutive capital for these startups, facilitating their research and development endeavors. His strategic guidance has enabled these ventures to thrive in a highly competitive landscape.
