Join APEX for a short, informative webinar about these exciting new DAF STTR opportunities.
In 2023, the Department of the Air Force (DAF) implemented significant changes to its Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Open Topic program. These “change the game” for both proposing small businesses and their university or research institution (RI) partners by effectively subsidizing the RI portion of STTRs. For entrepreneurs, this means the potential to secure up to an additional $600k in incremental funding for your technology, with more direct funding than an equivalent SBIR would provide. For universities and RIs, it offers funding to collaborate with innovative small businesses and cutting-edge technologies. For the DAF, these changes foster increased engagement with the research community via STTR.
Planned Topics
· Key changes in DAF STTR Open Topic program
· The compelling financial benefits of the STTR Open Topic changes
· Why every SBIR Open Topic proposer should also consider STTR
· How to structure STTR proposals to meet DAF needs
· How the APEX STTReamlinetm program simplifies STTR partnerships
When submitting a STTR proposal, it’s best for small businesses to engage with a university or RI partner as early as possible before the solicitation is released. This session will provide you with the information needed to make a well-informed decision in preparation for the next Open Topic Phase I submission window expected to open in late-August.
