PTAC Overview:

The mission of the PTAC is providing free technical assistance to help small business navigate working with the federal, state, and local government.

The 3 core tenants of the PTAC mission consist of:

  • One-on-One Consulting
  • Education
  • Teaming and Networking

Each important in their own right, but together drastically improve the chances for success for small, and some large, business clients.

As mentioned before, a big part of this assistance is educating our clients in the various standards and compliance that is needed to ensure success. That is why we are happy to collaborate with AFRL SB Hub and Sawdey Solutions to present the latest information on CMMC 2.0 and how it affects your business.

Don’t forget to stick around afterward for a Q&A session and some networking!

CMMC 2.0 Overview:

In November 2021, the Department of Defense (DOD) released Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0. While CMMC 2.0 clarified some things, there are numerous questions defense contractors are still trying to find answers for. Please join us on March 24th to better understand CMMC 2.0 and talk through some of the many questions and concerns on the minds’ of defense contractors throughout the Defense Industrial Base.

In this webinar you will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn what has changed between the original CMMC model and CMMC 2.0
  • Understand the CMMC requirements for DoD contractors
  • Learn what actions you can take now to prepare for your desired CMMC level
  • Ask any questions you may have related to CMMC/National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-171

Sawdey is currently helping DOD contractors throughout the U.S. with:

  • Identification of the needed CMMC level, based on current DOD work, Federal Contract Information (FCI) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) being handled, and existing contract clauses
  • Pre-Assessment Gap Analysis – a comprehensive pre-assessment of your organization’s cybersecurity posture, identifying any deficiencies per NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) requirements
  • Risk Mitigation Strategies – strategies to eliminate or reduce cybersecurity risks
  • Documentation/Deliverables – including, but not limited to, System Security Plan (SSP), POA&M, etc.
  • Quality Analysis – additional assessment(s) to evaluate progress and address any outstanding POA&Ms
  • Assistance with uploading your NIST SP 800-171 self-assessment score in the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS)
  • Education – initial and continuous guidance as DOD cybersecurity standards and policies evolve

After the Collider: There is an optional Networking event for all the In-Person attendees at the Dayton Beer Company, 160 steps from 444.
